This is the Fox residence in Gotha. This project was a bit difficult because the vaulted ceiling was painted with a semi gloss paint, so we had to remove the paint first, which you can see in the picture behind me, and then we were able to scrape off the popcorn. The paint was carefully peeled off into a big sheet and was balled up and discarded. It wasn’t very heavy but it was large! The house had a divider in between the kitchen that was open so the whole ceiling went through both rooms. It took us two days to remove the popcorn because of the paint, but once the paint was off, the popcorn came down very easy. We had to repair the joints after along the vault since it was heavily damaged and rotted over time.
